In the heart of the Basque Country, our Saint-Jean-de-Luz campsite welcomes you just 400 meters from the beaches. Set in 9 hectares of wooded, undulating grounds, the Itsas Mendi campsite has been cultivating a friendly, family atmosphere since 1964, winning over lovers of the Basque Coast every year.
Between sea and mountains, at the gateway to Biarritz, Bayonne and Spain, you’ll enjoy a privileged location in one of France’s most beautiful seaside resorts. Two aquatic areas, a restaurant, entertainment for young and old, a wellness area… Everything you need for an unforgettable vacation. Aquatic area: relaxation, fun and idleness
There’s no need to choose between the pool and the ocean: here, both are within easy reach! The campsite’s aquatic area comprises two complementary worlds. The covered and heated aqualudic area lets you enjoy a swim whatever the weather: a safe paddling pool for toddlers, a Jacuzzi for relaxing moments, and swan necks for a soothing atmosphere.
Outdoors, the multi-track slides are a delight for children and teenagers, while the paddling pool with games is a delight for the youngest. Fancy a little idleness? Curl up on our deckchairs and let the Basque sun do the rest. The aquatic area is open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Entertainment at the Basque Country campsite
Here, vacation rhymes with fun and sharing! Our team of qualified entertainers offers a varied program from April 18 to October 15, designed for the whole family. The 4-12 year-olds can enjoy creative activities, outdoor games and shows at the kids’ club.
Teens enjoy their own program of sports tournaments, challenges and dedicated activities. For the older ones, too, the days are packed with fitness, aquatic classes, pétanque at the boulodrome, encounters on the multi-sports pitch…
Family and sports activities are all free! In the evening, the atmosphere goes up a notch: karaoke, blind test, bingo, pool party, dancing… And, to prolong the adventure, our leisure partners in Saint-Jean-de-Luz open the doors to surfing, accrobranche and many other activities from our campsite in the Basque Country.

What are the cancellation conditions?
We have no cancellation insurance.
You can change the dates or number of participants in your stay up to 20 days before arrival, free of charge.
In case of cancellation :
- For cancellations made at least 20 days before the arrival date, the amount paid will be refunded minus a €45 charge (€20 booking fee + €25 cancellation fee).
- For cancellations made between 19 and 10 days before the arrival date, 50% of the cost of the stay will be refunded.
- For cancellations made less than 10 days before the arrival date, the amount of the stay will be forfeited.
Are all mobile homes air-conditioned?
Our mobile homes are not equipped with air conditioning. We’re in a region that doesn’t get very hot (apart from exceptional heatwaves), so we enjoy the ocean air.
When is the aquatic area open?
Our aquatic area is open and heated from the opening of the campsite on March 27, 2026. Both pools are open daily from 10am to 8pm.
What is the animation period?
Activities start on 18/05 and run until 15/10/2026.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed on camping pitches when you bring your own equipment (camper, caravan or tent), but are strictly forbidden in mobile homes.
